When you’ve lost a loved one, the support of friends and family make all the difference.

Following the death of an Oddfellows member, £150 of financial help is available to their next-of-kin to help towards funeral expenses.

Please note that the member must have been with the Oddfellows for three or more years in order to be eligible for Funeral Benefit and must have been aged 74 or younger on joining the Society. This benefit cannot be claimed if financial support has been, or is due to be, received for the member’s family through Accidental Death Benefit.

How next-of-kin can make a Funeral Benefit claim
Your first step is to contact the member’s Branch Secretary within three months of the date of death. We will also need to see an original copy of the death certificate. You can search for local Branch contact details by using our Branch Finder.
