Oddfellows Forum

The Oddfellows forum is a fantastic place to connect with members from across the globe, connect with others with similar interests, ask questions or just join in with a good old debate – why not take a look?

Often referred to as ‘discussion areas’, forums are online public meeting places where people can interact, ask questions and discuss various topics. Once logged in you can read what has been posted by others, start your own discussions or reply to previous posts.

Using our Oddfellows online forum is easy and for those of you who might be unsure of exactly how to go about it, we’ve put together this short and simple guide:

STEP 1 To access the forums either click the forum tab on the homepage or click here

STEP 2 Read through the terms and conditions , check the box that says ‘I agree/adhere to the terms and conditions stated above’ and click the OK button

STEP 3 Select which of the forums you’d like to read or create a post in:

  • General room – you can post anything you like in here
  • Membership forum – discuss anything to do with membership to the society
  • Events – the place to discuss event ideas and share experiences
  • Care forum – talk about any aspect of the care services provided by the society
  • Online archives – found something really interesting? Or perhaps you’re looking for something? Post on here to ask other members about it
  • Oddfellows exchange – arrange the perfect getaway or discuss holiday plans

STEP 4 To create a new topic click ‘create new thread’ and post whatever you want to say – just remember to post it under the correct forum

STEP 5 To post a reply to existing topics, simply click ‘reply to post,’ type your answer in the reply box, press ok and then sit back, relax and wait for a response.

You can join and read forums at any time convenient to you, catching up with messages you’ve posted or friends you’ve met on the site. You can reply straight away or take time to think about your answer before coming back to respond; or indeed, as in a real life discussion, you can simply listen without contributing at all.

So why not log on now and give it a go – hopefully you’ll make some great new friends!
